In Langenhagen near Hannover, ECE is constructing the new North-Hub for the Hermes Logistics Group Germany at the Airport Hannover. With the 20-million-euro investment 150 new jobs are to be created.
An around 250m long and 50m wide logistics center will be constructed on the approx. 80,000m² large area at the motorway A352. With the ultramodern sorting plant it will be possible to process up to 40 million parcels. Loading and unloading will be realized via around 120 gates, 250 spaces for swap bodies will be created. A total of around 200 trucks will frequent the premises daily. The total construction project is completely supervised by the Hamburg-based ECE – from the first step of planning up to the turn-key handover.
