Opening

The center was opened in 1973, extended in 1979, and optimised in 1989/90 and 1999/2000.
In the spring of 2010 ECE bought the area of the former Hertie department store at the Allee-Center from its previous owner Dawnay Day. The 10,000 sq m of retail space of the former Hertie chain store are being modernized and restructured. The completion of the restructuring is scheduled for 2012.
